About the Role

The role is responsible for contract and commercial management within the IT function, working closely with senior IT leadership. It involves establishing strong commercial governance, acting as a trusted advisor, and gaining deep insight into the IT cost base to support strategic decisions in line with procurement policies. The position covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including oversight of IT contracts, development of commercial strategies, risk and issue management, supplier performance, continuous process improvement, team leadership and sustainability initiatives. It requires collaboration with senior leadership and alignment with procurement policies to drive value and compliance. • Manage IT contracts, ensuring obligations are documented and reported. • Develop and execute commercial strategies for key IT suppliers, including benchmarking. • Maintain IT contract guidelines, security standards, and data protection compliance. • Negotiate new and existing IT contracts and key commercial terms. • Manage risks and issues related to IT contracts. • Implement a supplier management framework with scorecards and improvement plans. • Drive continuous process improvements using best practices and lessons learned. • Contribute to strategy development and oversee delivery plans. • Lead and coach the team to achieve KPIs and foster a culture of continuous improvement. • Support net zero carbon transition by identifying and managing carbon emissions.
