About the Role
The role involves cleaning and preparing the construction site, removing debris and hazards, and ensuring the crew has all required materials. What You Bring
The UGE Skilled Laborer/Groundman – negz supports the crew by assisting with installation and repair of underground power lines. Responsibilities include gathering materials, maintaining a safe work environment, and collaborating with personnel across various departments. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of utilities or construction experience, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include two or more years of experience and a Class A CDL. The position is field‑based and requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in inclement weather conditions. Employees need good visual acuity, hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors. • Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year utilities/construction experience, valid driver’s license. • Preferred: 2+ years experience and Class A CDL. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb, work in extreme weather, and maintain precise hand‑eye coordination.
