About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in daily operations, financial functions, and staff supervision, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair‑housing guidelines while maintaining cash flow and resident satisfaction. • Post all payments and income from applicants and residents accurately and promptly. • Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable. • Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and coordinate evictions. • Assist the property in meeting budgeted revenue, expenses, and net operating income. • Post charges to resident and non‑resident accounts, including utility bill‑backs. • Complete end‑of‑month closing procedures and generate reports. • Maintain organized resident files and audit records for accuracy. • Walk units, apply move‑out charges, and process security‑deposit refunds. • Maintain regular daily onsite attendance. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff per company directives. • Conduct ongoing training, counseling, and performance guidance to meet Asset benchmarks. • Foster staff harmony and high performance through supportive leadership. • Ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures. • Oversee leasing techniques to secure lease signings and maintain accurate documentation. • Implement marketing strategies from the annual marketing plan. • Address resident complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction. • Develop resident retention programs such as events, promotions, and newsletters. • Show, lease, and move‑in prospective residents effectively. • Deliver excellent customer service and monitor maintenance request turnaround. • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure upkeep and timely repairs. • Assist in supervising all business functions related to operations. • Manage property resources, equipment, and supplies cost‑effectively, including vendor bidding. • Remain stationary for long periods, stand or sit, and perform repetitive hand motions. • Move around the property, climb ladders or stairs, and lift objects up to 25 lb. • Operate machinery, power tools, vehicles, and work in various environmental conditions, including overtime and emergencies.

What You Bring

Benefits

Compensation includes an hourly rate of $17‑$21, a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401K match), performance bonuses, paid sick days and holidays. Hours may include overtime, weekends, and nights for emergencies.
