About the Role
The Maintenance Technician at Vault Apartments supports residents by ensuring quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, and expedited service. This role is accountable for delivering personal attention and superior customer service to all residents. Key duties include preparing make‑ready apartments with painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs; responding promptly to resident requests with a professional attitude; and performing maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and snow removal when needed. The technician also maintains grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities, and may be on call for after‑hour emergencies. Maintenance concerns in vacant units, model units, and common areas are reported to the supervisor, and scheduled maintenance is carried out as directed while adhering to fair housing laws and safety procedures. • Prepare make‑ready apartments (paint, carpet repair, cleaning, general repairs). • Respond promptly to resident service requests with a professional attitude. • Perform plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal tasks. • Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities. • Provide on‑call emergency service after hours as scheduled. • Report maintenance issues in vacant units, model units, and common areas to the supervisor. • Follow state, local, and federal fair‑housing regulations. • Attend required training and adhere to safety procedures. • Maintain punctual on‑site attendance and report any tardiness. • Read and interpret policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. • Perform basic calculations and prepare routine reports.

What You Bring
Competencies required are a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II certification, and the ability to read policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. The technician must be capable of basic calculations, problem solving, and preparing routine reports, while consistently following safety protocols. Education requirements include a high school diploma, GED, or trade/technical/vocational schooling, and at least one year of related experience is preferred. The work environment combines a professional office setting with regular travel between properties, often in varying weather conditions. Physical demands involve extended standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 100 lb, with travel comprising up to 10% of the work schedule. • Hold a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type II certification. • Possess a high school diploma/GED or trade/technical education and 1+ year related experience. • Travel between properties up to 10% of the time and lift/move up to 100 lb regularly.
