About the Role
Primary duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC, as well as cleaning, lubricating, and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. The technician also assists with equipment installation, modifies systems, replaces building finishes, and inspects facilities for safety and preventative maintenance. The position operates in a professional office environment using standard equipment and involves physical tasks such as moving around the workplace, standing, and extending arms. Employees must follow all codes, safety regulations, and company dress standards while maintaining a neat appearance. • Troubleshoot and repair building systems including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Evaluate and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and cost‑saving opportunities. • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance. • Maintain and operate fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment. • Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal as needed. • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives while practicing safe work habits. • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems. • Complete required C&W safety training annually and adhere to the uniform dress code.

What You Bring
The Maintenance Technician supports operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and equipment for assigned properties. The role requires at least two years of related experience in a commercial property setting and a high school diploma or GED. Candidates should have technical or vocational training in areas like HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair, and must hold a valid driver’s license with a good record. Basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word are required, and the role may involve extended shifts, on‑call duties, and working alone during certain periods. • Hold technical, vocational, or on‑the‑job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required. • Possess basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
