About the Role

The handler will verify quantities and part numbers, count delivered materials for accuracy, and close incoming transfers in the ERP system. After receipt, they will stock items on designated racks and operate a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload pallets and boxes from trailers, securing loads with appropriate devices. Material movement from the receiving area to stocking locations is also required. Preparation of shipments includes labeling, marking, and identifying hazardous and non‑hazardous items, as well as completing Dangerous Goods Declaration forms for ground, air, and ocean shipments according to the relevant regulations. Ground shipments follow DOT CFR‑49, air shipments adhere to IATA standards, and ocean shipments comply with IMDG criteria. The handler must ensure all documentation accurately reflects the shipment contents. Before dispatch, the handler reviews a hazardous materials checklist to confirm compliance with federal shipping standards. Responsibilities also include inspecting and restocking sales return order parts, and processing both cash‑on‑delivery (COD) and non‑COD shipments through UPS and FedEx systems. Accuracy in these processes is essential for safe and legal transport. The role involves routine execution of end‑of‑day online reports for UPS, FedEx, and DHL shipments and ordering weekly shipping supplies as needed. The handler conducts cycle counts, makes ERP adjustments, looks up part availability, and assists with inventory and back‑order inquiries.
