About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is tasked with installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment to support the production of heavy‑duty and medium‑duty truck transmissions. This role directly contributes to achieving the plant’s business goals and objectives. Using both mechanical and multiskilled expertise, the technician performs a wide range of repairs that include electrical and control‑related tasks. Responsibilities involve diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and adjusting equipment, and utilizing machine and OEM software—including Fanuc robots, NC/CNC equipment, PLCs, and drive systems—to resolve issues. The technician conducts regular preventive and predictive maintenance as scheduled and reads and interprets electrical/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, equipment manuals, and work orders to guide maintenance actions. Additionally, the role supports continuous‑improvement efforts, maintains a 6S‑organized work area, and reports any unusual conditions, safety issues, or defective materials. • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment for heavy- and medium-duty truck transmissions. • Perform mechanical, electrical, and control system repairs, including Fanuc robots, NC/CNC equipment, PLCs, and drive systems. • Diagnose issues using OEM software and test/adjust equipment components. • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance according to schedule. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, manuals, and work orders. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 6S housekeeping standards. • Report safety concerns, unusual conditions, or defective materials. • Train and update skills on new machinery and technology.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold at least a high school diploma or GED and have a minimum of two years of manufacturing‑focused maintenance experience, with training in mechanics, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, and automation. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree or certification in industrial maintenance combined with three to five years of electrical/automation experience, proficiency with CMMS software, and knowledge of machine controls such as Siemens/Fanuc NC systems and Allen Bradley PLCs. All applicants must reside within 50 miles of the work location unless they are active‑duty military, and the position adheres to equal‑employment‑opportunity and fair‑chance hiring policies.
