About the Role

We are seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator for our New York office to plan and coordinate outreach activities for New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments. The role involves daily interaction with resident associations and stakeholders, ensuring proper program notifications, gathering resident input, and supporting briefings on relocation, construction, and related program aspects. • Plan and execute multi‑stakeholder meetings for pre‑planning, design/relocation, and construction phases. • Coordinate and respond to resident questions and concerns. • Conduct resident outreach via phone calls, flyers/brochures, and door‑to‑door canvassing. • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, tenant associations, and residents. • Present information at meetings and workshops. • Gather updates from construction, relocation, and other teams to share with residents. • Ensure outreach materials are clear, digestible, and translated as needed.

What You Bring

U.S. citizenship is required for this position, and neither sponsorship nor relocation assistance is available. The role may require evenings or weekends to conduct outreach activities or staff public meetings. • BA/BS or equivalent experience; U.S. citizenship required. • Minimum two years of engagement experience with disadvantaged populations. • Strong written and verbal communication; diplomatic interaction with agencies. • Knowledge of NY public housing, stakeholder engagement, and working with elected officials and non‑English speakers. • Familiarity with construction phases, procurement, design terminology. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e‑Builder project management, and Adobe Creative Suite. • Ability to work evenings or weekends for outreach and public meetings.
