About the Role

The position is hands‑on, requiring high‑quality output and innovative solutions for additive manufacturing. As part of an entrepreneurial team building a new facility, the technician will wear multiple hats, balancing printer operation with responsibilities in the quality lab, shipping/receiving, and general manufacturing as needed. • Operate large‑format photopolymer and polymer powder‑bed (SLS/MJF) 3D printers, handling raw polymer powders and resins and performing post‑processing such as support removal and surface finishing. • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of printers, furnaces, and related equipment, coordinating with suppliers for upgrades and repairs. • Inspect printed parts for critical dimensions and surface quality using precision tools and generate detailed inspection reports. • Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials to verify quality and conformance to specifications. • Maintain accurate documentation of builds, machine performance, maintenance activities, process parameters, and standard operating procedures. • Support part assembly for production and assist with shipping, receiving, and scheduling to ensure efficient material flow and timely deliveries. • Promote and maintain a safe, organized manufacturing environment and equipment. • Adhere to all local and corporate safety protocols and proactively identify unsafe conditions using Stop Work Authority. • Read and interpret dimensioned drawings and CAD models.

Hubbell is seeking a detail‑oriented, hands‑on polymer 3D printing technician to support engineering and manufacturing efforts. The role involves preparation, operation, and maintenance of industrial‑grade polymer 3D printers, post‑processing, quality assurance, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate is familiar with additive manufacturing processes such as DLP, SLS, and MJF, possesses strong troubleshooting skills, and is skilled in workshop finishing processes. • Wear required PPE, including PAPR, Tyvek suits, foot protection, gloves, and safely lift items up to 35 lbs. • High school diploma or vocational training with 2–3 years of experience in a high‑specification manufacturing environment. • Proficient with CAD software such as Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks. • Knowledge of GD&T is preferred. • Familiarity with quality control processes and equipment is a plus. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration. • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. • Results‑oriented, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to work quickly while following established processes.
