About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role also includes ensuring the vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards before each shift and adhering to all Company, state, and federal regulations while on the road. Each day the driver conducts thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checks tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reports any issues. While on the assigned route, the driver follows the route sheet, operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load, and compact refuse, and disposes of material at the designated facility. The driver also interacts professionally with customers and dispatchers, tags unsatisfactory containers, cleans accidental spills, monitors vehicle condition, and completes required reports and productivity sheets. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections. • Operate the collection truck safely along the assigned route and to the disposal site. • Load, lift, and compact refuse using manual or automatic controls. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Clean accidental waste spills following safety standards. • Monitor and maintain vehicle condition, cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body. • Complete route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports daily. • Meet departmental productivity standards to service all customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies and actively participate in the ReSOP program.

The position requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brakes endorsement.
