About the Role

• Serve as technical advisor for the team. • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design. • Develop study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work. • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. • Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates. • Apply expertise across all steps of the PS&E package discipline component. • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings. • Prepare technical specification sections. • Contribute input to engineering budget and schedule development. • Lead large design engineering teams for grid substation projects in a global consultancy. • Prepare substation protection and control scheme drawings, relay coordination, panel GA drawings, SCADA and communication protocols. • Lead large teams and interface directly with clients.

What You Bring

• Hold a Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent. • Possess 8–12 years of relevant experience. • Demonstrate experience with HV plant design for large EHV grid substations (mandatory). • Experience designing for grid utilities such as National Grid, Transgrid, Powergrid. • Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian, Middle East). • Experience with GIS and AIS EHV substation secondary design. • Chartered Engineer status (IET‑UK, EA, or equivalent) desirable. • Exhibit excellent written and oral English communication skills.
