• Perform manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with hand tools. • Transport heavy equipment to and from the work site each day. • Build and maintain aerial and underground telecom cable systems. • Troubleshoot field problems as they arise. • Learn and operate various tools and equipment, including coax and fiber splicing and directional drilling. • Maintain a strong safety focus and consistently deliver high-quality work. • Solve complex problems with a hands-on approach.

What You Bring

The Skilled Laborer/Groundman role supports all phases of utility construction on telecom projects, working outdoors to dig trenches, unload materials, transport equipment, and build both aerial and underground cable systems. • Hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. • Pursue training in telecom construction trades such as coax splicing, fiber splicing, and directional drilling. • Relevant MOS codes include 12K, 12N, 12V, 12W, 21E, 21J, 25P, 91C, 91L, 11B, 1100, 1120, 1316, 9970-9975, 0612, 2T3XX, 2E1XX, 3E2XX, 3E3XX, 9T0XX, BU, UT.
