About the Role
Our global quality team delivers all aspects of quality for the design, development, and delivery of customer projects. As an NPI Senior Systems Engineer – Subsea Control Systems you will work within a multidisciplinary team to lead Subsea Control Systems Engineering activities on NPI programmes, covering architecture, concept design, integration, test and acceptance of new product initiatives. The role supports the introduction of new technology within a high‑profile function of Baker Hughes, and you will be accountable for the technical aspects throughout the lifecycle of programme developments, from concept to system‑level testing and acceptance. • Support design and development of NPI Subsea Control Systems programmes using a Systems Engineering‑based approach and conduct requirements management and analysis. • Create and maintain requirement specifications, design review material, Functional Design Specifications, and flow‑down to sub‑systems, products, and components. • Assess and categorize new technology and products to satisfy requirements and overall system design intent. • Derive system features for incorporation into the design and define/document system interfaces. • Support validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system‑level testing. • Ensure designs mature in a controlled manner through robust technical change control and impact assessment processes. • Offer contemporary work‑life balance policies and wellbeing activities.

What You Bring
• Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Software). • Have technical management experience within the Systems Engineering discipline. • Possess technical expertise in subsea control systems and testing technologies. • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (desirable). • Ability to develop products using a Systems Engineering‑based approach. • Knowledge of relevant industry specifications, standards, and regulations. • Experience with systems engineering methodologies such as INCOSE and ISO 15288.
