About the Role
Key responsibilities include adhering to Terex safety policies, operating a variety of welding machines (short‑arc, stick, FCAW) on materials such as X1050 and T‑1, and using stationary or portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to prepare weldments. The role also requires operating material‑handling equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and templates, accessing computer terminals for documentation, and promoting the Terex Way values while maintaining zero‑defect quality standards. • Follow Terex safety policies and maintain zero‑defect quality standards. • Operate short‑arc, stick, and FCAW welding machines on materials such as X1050 and T‑1. • Use stationary/portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to prepare weldments. • Operate material handling equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes to move parts. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, templates, and set‑up jigs/fixtures. • Access computer terminals for job documentation. • Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions.

Basic qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent and 0‑2 years of manufacturing experience, with the ability to lift 40 lb unassisted and up to 100 lb with assistance or equipment. Preferred qualifications include strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand tools, the ability to read engineering drawings and written instructions, a keen awareness of safety hazards, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude. • High school diploma or equivalent with 0‑2 years manufacturing experience. • Lift 40 lb unassisted and up to 100 lb with assistance or equipment. • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools. • Read engineering drawings and written instructions accurately.

The position is located in Huron, SD, with a shift that runs from 5 pm to 3:30 am, Monday through Thursday.
