About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager reports to the Community Manager and oversees daily operations, financial functions, and staff performance for an assigned housing community. Responsibilities include managing rent collection, handling delinquency, supervising leasing and maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies, fair‑housing and safety standards. In the manager’s absence, the assistant acts as the onsite leader, coordinating personnel, administration, risk management and budgeting to maintain property profitability. • Accurately post payments, reconcile daily accounts receivable, and execute end‑of‑month closing procedures. • Monitor delinquent accounts, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and coordinate eviction filings. • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate onsite staff while enforcing company policies and performance standards. • Drive leasing efforts by implementing marketing plans, showing units, processing applications, and maintaining resident retention programs. • Manage maintenance service requests, conduct regular property inspections, and oversee vendor bidding and contract negotiations. • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws, OSHA regulations, and internal safety guidelines. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, operating equipment, and working in varied weather conditions.

What You Bring
The role requires the ability to remain stationary for long periods, perform frequent walking, lift and move objects up to 25 lb, and work in varied environments such as ladders, scaffolding, confined spaces, and outdoors in extreme temperatures. Employees must be able to work overtime, weekends and nights for emergencies. Compensation is offered at $17 to $19 per hour, supplemented by commission, performance bonuses and a comprehensive total rewards package.
