About the Role

• Perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service for residential, ducted, air‑cooled, water‑cooled chillers, AHUs, and rooftop units. • Diagnose and repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and related system components. • Provide on‑site recommendations, upselling opportunities, and detailed quotes to improve facility efficiency. • Act as a trusted advisor, delivering high‑quality service and resolving facility inefficiencies. • Travel 10‑20% to support branch customers and service calls. • Participate in Johnson Controls Service Technical Academy (STA) training and Service Plus Rewards program. • Collaborate with local market mechanics and document problem causes and corrective actions.

What You Bring

The role is for skilled HVAC Technicians experienced with residential and ducted products, air‑cooled or water‑cooled chillers, AHUs, and rooftop units. Technicians receive factory certification through the Service Technical Academy, incentive programs, tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle to deliver top‑tier service and act as trusted advisors to customers. Technicians will handle startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service, traveling 10‑20% to support branch customers. They must pass a knowledge exam, hold required licenses, and join the United Association union, while pursuing continuous learning and career development. • Maintain safety compliance, hold an EPA refrigerant license, applicable state/local licenses, and a valid driver’s license. • Meet union membership requirements (UA affiliation) and pass a knowledge examination.
