About the Role
A Driver with a Class B CDL is tasked with safely operating a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role also requires ensuring the vehicle complies with the company's safety standards and all applicable state and federal regulations, while completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. The driver performs comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, monitors tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, and controls, and reports any issues. They follow route sheets, operate manual or automatic truck controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste, and interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. • Safely operate a heavy collection truck along assigned routes, read route sheets, and deliver waste to disposal sites. • Load, compact, and unload refuse using manual or automatic controls while adhering to safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers and monitor waste for prohibited materials. • Clean spills and maintain vehicle cleanliness, including packer blade and truck body, to minimize downtime. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Follow all safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program, and adhere to productivity standards.

A minimum requirement is a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement.
