About the Role
As the Employee Relations and U.S. HR Lead, you will drive nation‑wide programs that strengthen the social and psychological connection between employees and leaders, fostering trust, value, and respect. You will act as an individual contributor responsible for aligning people strategies and processes with the company culture. The role focuses on continuously improving employee knowledge, understanding, and engagement. • Leads employee‑relations partnership for cross‑functional projects impacting development, change management, health, safety, sustainability, recognition, work‑life balance, engagement, anti‑bullying, communications, and employee‑representative interactions. • Analyzes state and federal employment laws and recent case‑law trends to update people policies. • Partners with legal to resolve formal and significant employee concerns. • Provides leaders with information, resources, and training to improve performance‑based coaching and actions. • Identifies tools, resources, and procedures for managing workforce reshaping while meeting statutory requirements and optimizing outcomes for the company and impacted employees.

What You Bring
The position is US Employee Relations Manager, working in a hybrid model with three days per week in the Indianapolis, IN office. The role reports to HR leadership and requires U.S. citizenship. Candidates must have an associate degree with at least seven years of HR experience, or a bachelor’s degree with five years, or a master’s with three years, or a JD/PhD, or nine years of HR experience without a degree, and must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred attributes include project‑management ability, strong communication skills, union‑related experience, and the capacity to work across management levels. • Responds to critical, crisis‑oriented employee relationship issues, often with limited notice and up to 15 % domestic travel. • Preferred: project‑management skills; strong verbal and written communication; experience with unions and union support activities; ability to engage at all management levels.
