About the Role
The employee will fabricate steel structural components, perform welding according to engineering drawings, and ensure quality through comprehensive visual inspections while operating various shop equipment. • Weld steel structural parts as specified per drawing or print • Operate grinder to prepare and finish welds • Operate flip‑rite equipment • Operate transfer machines • Operate magnetic drill • Conduct full visual inspection of parts to verify weld integrity • Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream teams regarding safety, quality, and efficiency issues

What You Bring
Safety is the top priority; candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead, enforce, and maintain Nucor’s safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Applicants need a WQ1 (2G) welding certification, and preferred credentials include the ability to interpret weld symbols, experience with arc gouging, crane certification, and material‑handling background.
