About the Role
This remote position (EST time zone) is for an Account Associate I, who serves as the primary point of contact for WM's small and medium business customers. Working in a team‑based queue, the role focuses on retaining and growing the book of business by handling inbound calls and conducting proactive outreach to prevent cancellations and secure updated contract agreements. Success depends on effective retention strategies, strong negotiation skills, and alignment with WM’s growth objectives. • Apply change‑management processes to support sales activities. • Allocate time effectively between retention and acquisition goals. • Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that secure customer commitment. • Collaborate with teammates to achieve shared objectives. • Navigate multiple sales systems and document interactions accurately. • Analyze reports and perform general administrative tasks as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED and one year of business‑to‑business account management, inside sales, or customer‑service experience that includes a sales component. The role involves repetitive motions, eye/hand/foot coordination, and typical office activities such as sitting, talking, and hearing while using standard office equipment. Benefits
The base pay range is $20.25‑$21.00 per hour and the position is eligible for monthly commission. Employees receive a competitive total compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, a stock purchase plan, 401(k) matching, paid vacation, holidays and personal days, though specific benefits may vary by site.
