About the Role

Daily tasks are driven by the work board and may include scheduled overtime. Prior to operating any equipment, the employee performs inspections, documents conditions, and reports defects immediately. Equipment used includes order pickers, short and long pallet jacks, and both stand‑up and sit‑down counterbalance forklifts, all operated safely. Picking and packing duties involve selecting inventory, placing items in containers, verifying quantities with scanner instructions, labeling, and moving the final shipping unit to the designated area. The role includes scanning and picking coils and fittings, labeling straight‑length materials, and manually loading coils and bundles onto trucks according to work orders or verbal instructions. The employee ensures logistics quality by maintaining facility and equipment checklists, performing 6S activities, controlling damage, verifying pallet quality, and keeping inventory accuracy. They resolve discrepancies, record technical errors, support ISO 9001 initiatives, and may travel up to 10% of the time. • Follow work board and supervisor directions to schedule and execute daily tasks. • Perform equipment inspections, document findings, and report defects before use. • Operate licensed forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. • Pick, verify, label, and transport inventory to create accurate shipping containers. • Scan and pick coils, fittings, and straight‑length materials per customer orders. • Manually load coils and bundles onto trucks according to work orders or verbal instructions. • Adhere to safety protocols, report unsafe conditions via SOSPES, and practice safe lifting. • Maintain 6S standards, keep work areas clean, and ensure aisles and waste areas are clear. • Conduct facility and equipment checklists, perform forklift inspections, and sustain cleanliness. • Monitor pallet quality, inventory accuracy, and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Record and correct technical errors from manufacturing and vendors. • Support ISO 9001 quality initiatives and contribute to process improvement plans. • Assist DC Team Member I and answer questions as needed. • Meet or exceed individual performance metrics.

The employee must transact in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using a desktop or RF gun and troubleshoot related issues. A valid forklift, order picker, and ride‑on pallet jack license is required. Required knowledge and abilities include a safety mindset, basic math, strong organization, proper lifting techniques, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. The role demands the ability to lift 50 lb+ items, communicate effectively, pay close attention to detail, and meet or exceed individual performance metrics.
