About the Role

The Regional Consulting Sales Engineer provides pre‑sales technical support and expertise to the engineering community, sales team, and customers. This role identifies client requirements, presents product capabilities, and designs solutions aligned with strategic goals. It also supports sales team members, customer/engineering training, and marketing initiatives while delivering consistent, accurate, and professional service to build trust and increase market share. • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions. • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase features, benefits, and advantages. • Create and deliver technical proposals and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). • Provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, answering questions and resolving issues. • Engage engineering customers to gather technical requirements and position Automated Logic as the design basis. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and foster long‑term partnerships. • Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions are feasible and meet expectations. • Stay up to date with industry trends, product developments, and the competitive landscape. • Provide customer insights and market feedback to product management and development teams.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years experience in building automation sales/engineering, or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years experience. • Travel up to 75% locally. • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering. • 3+ years design experience with BAS systems; 10+ years overall building automation experience. • Certifications such as CEM, LEED AP, WELL AP, or PE are a plus. • Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, other building systems, and IT networking/integration. • Ability to work within a fast‑moving engineering design team.
