About the Role
In this position you will provide engineering input during the design phase, develop commissioning plans and procedures, and supervise the build of equipment while anticipating potential issues. You will execute and oversee C&I commissioning activities, capture and report critical results, and facilitate the hand‑over of fully commissioned rigs to the Operations team. Ongoing technical queries will be managed to ensure smooth project delivery. • Provide engineering input during design and create C&I commissioning plans • Write commissioning procedures based on engineering design • Supervise equipment build and anticipate commissioning issues • Execute and oversee C&I commissioning activities • Capture and report critical commissioning results • Support handover of commissioned rigs to Operations team • Manage technical queries throughout the project • Work on cutting‑edge submarine test rig projects • Participate in a high‑performance culture with a multi‑year transformation programme

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer with industrial maintenance and fault‑finding experience on safety‑critical products, preferably in sectors such as oil & gas, aerospace or nuclear. Proficiency with PLC control systems, I/O testing and basic PLC programming, together with a solid understanding of instrumentation, output signals and the ability to interpret P&ID and cause‑and‑effect tables, is required. Experience with de‑energised electrical checks, ELV/LV equipment, distributed control systems and, optionally, hot and pressurised water systems is advantageous. A HND or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is expected, and the role requires Security Check clearance, which Rolls‑Royce will support. Applicants must be UK nationals or hold dual nationality approved by the MoD, as the work involves classified submarine projects. Rolls‑Royce will assist candidates in obtaining the required Security Check clearance if not already held.
