About the Role
The Operator is responsible for selecting and positioning the appropriate equipment, ensuring operational stability, and handling heavy, sensitive loads in physically restricted areas. Duties include reading load charts, interpreting hand signals for material placement, performing daily equipment inspections, refueling, adding fluids, assessing component wear, conducting minor maintenance and cleaning, and reporting any malfunctioning equipment to supervisors. The operator also assists other craft workers as needed. • Operate and position specific boom crane and related heavy equipment • Ensure equipment stability and handle loads in confined spaces • Read load charts and interpret hand signals for material placement • Conduct daily equipment inspections, refuel, add fluids, and check wear • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment • Report any malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Assist other craft workers as needed • Use hand and power tools, climb ladders/scaffolds, and operate vehicles such as trucks and forklifts

What You Bring
The Operator must be able to safely and properly operate boom cranes. Should be certified and have the ability to operate a range of equipment, including track hoe, rubber tire backhoe, front end loader, road grader/maintainer, bulldozer, hoe ram, carry deck, ross carrier, and hydraulic cranes from 15 to 65 tons, as well as a friction rig. The operator must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and safely use or operate associated tools and equipment. This role will be required in plant operations or construction jobsite settings. The position demands the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb), use hand and power tools, and climb ladders, scaffolds, or steel/wood frameworks. Work may involve uneven surfaces, mud, loose rock, sand, confined spaces, and adverse weather conditions. Operators must communicate effectively with management, comprehend and convey directions, make decisions under distraction, and remain detail‑oriented while working at various tempos. • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) and work on uneven or adverse terrain • Communicate effectively with management, read/write directions, and make decisions under distraction
