About the Role
The Sr. Engineer will provide both engineering and business support associated with implementation of existing and new planning processes to prepare the grid for the clean energy future. This is a great role to demonstrate your ability to drive results, demonstrate application of cross‑disciplinary skills to the clean energy space and gain firsthand experience with the clean energy transition. • Plan sub‑transmission feeder, area substation, and 4 kV unit substation infrastructure. • Identify clean‑energy project solutions through collaboration with customers, developers, utilities, and funding agencies. • Develop subject‑matter expertise in area substation planning from concept to implementation. • Recommend load relief measures for supply feeders and substations. • Facilitate project feasibility studies and coordinate with planning, engineering, and operations teams. • Provide engineering and business support for new and existing planning processes. • Support grid preparation for the clean‑energy future.

What You Bring
Reporting to the Section Manager, the Sr. Engineer is pivotal to planning the electric facilities infrastructure, specifically at the Sub‑transmission feeder, Area Substation and 4 kV Unit Substation level. The selected candidate will identify solutions for clean energy projects by collaborating with customers, internal stakeholder organizations, renewable energy developers, utilities, and government funding agencies. Selected candidate will develop subject matter expertise in Area Substation planning from start to finish, identifying load relief recommendations for supply feeders and substations, facilitate project feasibility and coordination with different planning, engineering and operations groups to funding and implementation.
