About the Role

The controller will hold financial responsibility for a multi‑million‑pound business, preparing financial information, providing leadership to the finance team, and offering high‑level advice to drive profitability and efficiency. The position supports the General Manager in strategic decision‑making and works closely with customers and dealers to maintain financial control while supporting sales. Key duties include leading a finance team of four, ensuring GAAP and corporate policy compliance, overseeing monthly reporting and stakeholder communication, managing the R&O and quarterly forecasting processes, and contributing to business strategy. Additional responsibilities cover accurate machine costing, inventory and receivables management, cash‑flow analysis, IT system implementation, credit limit establishment, Capex approval, and brand‑level sales and margin tracking. • Lead and manage a finance team of four, overseeing accounting, P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis. • Ensure full financial control and compliance with GAAP, corporate policy, and audit requirements. • Oversee monthly site reporting and communicate results to all stakeholders. • Manage monthly R&O and quarterly forecasting processes. • Contribute to business strategy formulation and drive improvement through timely financial information. • Provide financial support for commercial decisions, business development, and machine costing. • Implement cycle counting, inventory and receivables management, and cash‑flow analysis. • Support new IT system implementation and establish credit limits, dispute resolution, and collections. • Approve and monitor Capex strategy and oversee brand sales and margin reporting. • Participate in monthly sales and operating (S&OP) reviews.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a university degree and an ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, with substantial experience as a financial or business analyst. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to learn corporate ERP systems are required, as are strong business acumen, analytical skills, knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley, and excellent communication abilities. • University degree and ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification required. • Significant experience as a financial or business analyst, preferably with operational exposure. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to learn ERP systems. • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley. • Excellent written and verbal communication, ethics, integrity, and ability to work with senior management.
