About the Role

Identify coil part numbers and quantities from the schedule or work order ticket, retrieve the necessary small parts, and input the part numbers into the computer‑controlled coil winding machine during setup. Lift up to 40 lb and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations. Adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Set up the coil winding machine according to the specifications displayed on the setup screen, including mandrel size, duct parts, and insulation tape type. Install and adjust devices on the machine to meet window‑sizing specifications, load strip, conductor, and insulation paper onto dereeling mechanisms, and measure materials to verify alignment. Place and adjust the coil form per specifications, activate the machine to feed materials, and follow the run‑screen instructions to wind coils at the required hourly rate, labeling each coil with ID, work order, part number, and machine number. Utilize measuring devices and tools such as hydraulic and hand tools, brazing, soldering, pliers, scissors, rubber hammer, ratchet, wrenches, and bending tools. Perform rework on damaged or defective coils to maintain quality standards, weigh and log scrap metal in the database, and follow proper disposal protocols. Oversee and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols to ensure safe deactivation and isolation of equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations and organizational safety guidelines. Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Work from quality and production standards and computerized winding sheets/prints to accurately interpret coil specifications. • Identify coil part numbers and retrieve required small parts. • Input part numbers and set up the computer‑controlled coil winding machine. • Configure machine specifications such as mandrel size, duct parts, and insulation tape. • Install, adjust, and align devices; load strips, conductors, and insulation paper. • Operate the machine to wind coils at specified rates and label each coil accurately. • Use a variety of hand and hydraulic tools, including brazing and soldering equipment. • Rework damaged coils to meet quality standards. • Weigh, log, and properly dispose of scrap metal. • Enforce lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe equipment de‑activation. • Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment. • Follow quality and production standards using computerized winding sheets.
