About the Role
• Conduct field surveys at client sites using advanced instruments to measure land boundaries, topographic features, and coordinates. • Analyze survey data, maps, and legal documents to determine property lines, resolving discrepancies as needed. • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide accurate survey data for construction and development projects. • Utilize GPS technology, GIS, and surveying software to process and manage survey data efficiently. • Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and legal descriptions for clients, government agencies, and stakeholders. • Research property deeds, historical records, and land titles to gather essential information for projects. • Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols during fieldwork and data processing. • Provide expert testimony and survey evidence in legal disputes related to property boundaries and land issues. • Stay updated on advancements in surveying technology and techniques to enhance processes and accuracy. • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure reliable and precise measurements.

What You Bring
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Professional Surveyor & Mapper with 4+ years of experience to join the Lake Nona, Florida (FL) office. This is not a remote position. • Demonstrate strong communication skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members, effectively communicating survey results and findings. • 4+ years as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). • Working knowledge of Civil 3D and/or Carlson. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
