About the Role

What You Bring

WM seeks a Senior Associate of Data Strategy for its sustainability consultancy team. The role requires deep expertise in greenhouse‑gas accounting, data management, and the ability to design controls, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with standards such as the GHG Protocol and COSO. The incumbent will translate large environmental datasets into actionable insights, build dashboards, and support clients in developing decarbonization plans. The position operates in a hybrid setting, combining office work with field or plant visits, and may require travel up to 25% of the time, often in two‑week blocks. Candidates must be prepared to work long days and weekends during events, and to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high‑quality outputs. • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Business or related field; high school diploma/GED plus 4 years relevant experience. • Minimum 4 years of project/business management experience in environmental or services industry; sports venues and event operations experience preferred. • Proven track record advising on sustainability strategy, targets, and programs in the sports/entertainment sector. • Experience managing sustainability projects with on‑site logistics and material minimization programs. • Strong public speaking and training skills for large groups. • Ability to multitask, manage multiple large projects, and work long days/weekends as needed. • Excellent ability to translate data into actionable insights; detail‑oriented and customer‑focused. • Strong leadership, creative problem‑solving, and tech‑savvy; high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. • Willingness to travel up to 25% (up to two weeks at a time). • Experience conducting GHG inventories, mitigation initiatives, and third‑party verification. • Expertise designing data control processes and auditing large datasets. • Preferred: ESG software, dashboard design, life‑cycle assessment, intersectional environmentalism, circular economy, zero‑waste concepts, sustainability risk frameworks.
