Switchgear Quotation Specialist

About the Role

Key duties include reviewing RFQs for clarity, suitability, risk, profitability, and time constraints, and initiating discussions with the Tender manager, Tender lead, and Sales to align requirements and suggest optimizations. The specialist matches Schneider Electric products to customer specifications and drawings, optimizes the offering to improve success and the customer experience, and ensures technical compatibility and competitiveness of quotes. They also interpret contractual and technical terms, maintain awareness of quoting strategies and market conditions, and identify opportunities to improve the quotation process. The role also involves attending and assisting with internal and external inquiries or meetings throughout project execution, providing support to stakeholders and ensuring smooth communication. • Prepare and submit accurate quotations for medium & low voltage switchgear projects. • Review RFQs for clarity, suitability, risk, profitability, and timeline feasibility. • Collaborate with Tender manager, Tender lead, and Sales to discuss requirements and recommend optimizations. • Match Schneider Electric products to customer specifications and drawings. • Optimize offers to enhance success rate and improve the customer experience. • Verify technical compatibility of quotes against customer specifications and drawings. • Interpret and communicate contractual and technical terms relative to company standards. • Stay informed on quoting strategies and current market conditions. • Identify and implement improvements to the quotation process. • Support internal and external inquiries and meetings during project execution.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics (or equivalent experience), quotation experience in the electrical industry, and the ability to understand single‑line diagrams, schematics, and specifications. Strong organizational, time‑management, interpersonal, and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team. Fluency in English and French is essential for collaboration with stakeholders across Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and internationally. • Hold a diploma/degree in Electrical/Electronics or relevant experience. • Possess quotation experience within the electrical industry. • Read and understand single‑line diagrams, schematics, and specifications. • Demonstrate strong organizational and time‑management abilities to meet tight deadlines. • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Fluently speak English and French for stakeholder interaction across regions.
