About the Role
The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations oversees collection activities across multiple lines of business in a geographically dispersed area. Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, the role supervises drivers and helpers, implements tactical initiatives, and ensures functional excellence and budget achievement. The supervisor also upholds accident‑prevention programs and compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, accounting, ethics, and other standards while promoting employee engagement. Key responsibilities focus on safety, customer experience, efficiency, and employee engagement. The supervisor leads safety initiatives, removes unsafe conditions, partners with maintenance, and drives a culture of safety. They ensure service meets or exceeds customer expectations, resolve unusual requests, and act as a positive company representative. Efficiency duties include setting productivity goals, optimizing routes, reducing labor and disposal costs, and supporting fleet maintenance. Finally, the role creates a collaborative team environment, develops talent, and performs additional duties as needed. • Lead and supervise drivers and helpers across commercial, residential, roll‑off, and container services. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and ethical standards and drive accident‑prevention programs. • Resolve customer issues, missed pickups, and equipment breakdowns to maintain high customer satisfaction. • Develop and optimize routes, reduce route hours, and manage labor and disposal expenses to meet productivity goals. • Foster employee engagement by building collaborative teams, coaching talent, and supporting career development. • Partner with maintenance to keep equipment in safe, operational condition. • Meet or exceed division budget and efficiency targets through operational plans. • Direct large staff and build high‑performance teams.

The position offers a salary range of $86,400 to $118,800 depending on locality, with an annual incentive bonus targeting 10% of base pay.
