About the Role

The Foreman directs and manages all on‑site construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment, enforcing company policies, procedures, and safety standards while meeting construction deadlines. The role also requires ensuring compliance with the company’s Code of Ethics and maintaining effective communication with project leadership. • Direct on‑site construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment to meet project deadlines. • Ensure work crew deployment and productivity align with project plans. • Communicate openly with Superintendent and Project Managers, reporting issues promptly. • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and regulations for water, sewer, and storm drainage installations. • Organize daily activities of crew members and subcontractors, applying corrective actions to stay on schedule and budget. • Verify materials are installed according to contract specifications and promote efficient material use. • Plan work sequences to maximize progress safely and timely. • Monitor construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are achieved. • Operate company equipment lawfully, maintain it, and ensure effective usage. • Operate heavy equipment as needed for construction tasks. • Uphold and evaluate decisions against the company’s Code of Ethics. • Conduct new‑hire orientation and ensure participation in required training. • Track employee attendance, notify crews of weather‑related delays, and manage crew punctuality. • Delegate tasks, supervise, and lead crew members to accomplish objectives. • Liaise with employees and HR on matters such as recruitment, development, benefits, terminations, and investigations. • Apply the progressive disciplinary policy consistently and fairly. • Promote and enforce the safety program, conducting daily/weekly safety meetings and inspections. • Review and communicate safe work plans and hazard assessments before work begins. • Collaborate with the Safety Department to investigate incidents and ensure corrective procedures. • Work safely to protect self and others, adhering to all safety protocols. • Foster a collaborative team environment and encourage idea exchange. • Participate in special project initiatives and additional supervision duties as required.
