About the Role

The Production Manager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to meet customer and company objectives. It requires a dynamic, motivated leader with a focus on execution, problem‑solving, and team motivation. • Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors, leads, and skilled trades, to meet production goals. • Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and quality standards. • Coordinate with Production Scheduler to align resources with priorities and deadlines. • Provide feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact. • Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment using 5S standards and continuous improvement initiatives. • Enforce safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. • Monitor and analyze KPIs such as output, on‑time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents. • Keep accurate documentation for assigned projects and areas. • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Perform standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lb as needed.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated leadership with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude. • Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication, with strong knowledge of throughput and efficiency optimization. • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules. • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. • Work in a steel fabrication shop environment exposed to heat, noise, and industrial equipment; must wear required PPE.
