About the Role
The role’s primary purpose is to grow the business by developing sales and ensuring customers receive the highest level of service. You will be responsible for administering pricing and contracts consistently, accurately, ethically, and in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include establishing and achieving sales growth and profit objectives through an annual sales plan, developing strategies to maintain or expand sales volume and margin, and creating account plans that identify short‑ and long‑term customer needs. You will contact established and prospective customers—primarily by phone, with occasional face‑to‑face meetings—to solicit orders, answer product and pricing questions, and prepare estimates and bids. Additionally, you will act as the point of contact for escalated issues, expedite problem resolution, support the Credit Department in risk mitigation, and assist collection efforts on past‑due balances. • Drive sales growth and profit by executing an annual sales plan. • Develop and implement strategies to expand sales volume and margin within assigned accounts. • Create account plans that identify customer short‑ and long‑term needs and set specific goals. • Contact customers (phone and face‑to‑face) to solicit orders, answer product inquiries, and provide pricing information. • Prepare accurate estimates and bids tailored to customer specifications. • Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and apply it when servicing customers. • Serve as the primary escalations point, expediting resolution of customer issues and complaints. • Assist the Credit Department in assessing risk and support collection of past‑due accounts. • Analyze data to resolve inconsistencies and provide guidance to junior personnel when needed.

What You Bring
The position requires a BS/BA (2‑5 years experience) or an MS/MA (2‑4 years experience) in a related discipline, with required certifications in some areas. Work is performed in a comfortable indoor environment with occasional mild discomfort, requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive movements; travel is less than 10 % overnight. White Cap operates about 500 branches across North America, serving roughly 200,000 customers with a full range of construction supplies. • Meet physical requirements: lift up to 50 lb, stand >60 min, perform repetitive motions; travel <10 % overnight.
