What You Bring

The Road Mechanic position supports Sunbelt’s fast‑growing rental business by performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that may include aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil‑and‑gas equipment. Technicians work in challenging remote locations while adhering to strict safety standards to minimize equipment downtime. The role offers exposure to multiple equipment types and a pathway toward service or operations management. Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED; trade school training is preferred, and 3–5 years of experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment is strongly desired. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable record is required, and a CDL may be necessary in some locations. Candidates should be able to provide their own mechanic tools and possess solid knowledge of hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting. Flexibility, bilingual ability (Spanish or other) and the capacity to adapt to fast‑paced priorities are also valued. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable record; CDL may be required. • Lift 50 lb or more, bend, squat, crouch, and work indoors/outdoors as required. • Hold a high school diploma/GED; trade school or equivalent preferred. • Possess 3–5 years of experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment.
