About the Role
• Follow safety procedures in classroom and on‑the‑job learning environments. • Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on electronic, mechanical, and control equipment. • Install, adjust, test, and repair material handling equipment according to technical documentation. • Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems and subsystems. • Assist automation engineers and learn PLC programming in the lab. • Enroll in and complete a 12‑week college training program at one of the designated campuses. • Complete one year of on‑the‑job learning after training.

What You Bring
The apprentice will acquire hands‑on experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electronic, mechanical, computer and control systems within a fulfillment center. The role combines classroom instruction, laboratory exercises and on‑the‑job learning, and culminates in promotion to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician. Apprentices work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures, moving between departments and covering 6‑12 miles daily. Physical demands include overhead reach, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and regularly lifting up to 50 lb, while wearing required PPE such as hard hats and safety shoes. • Communicate effectively within team settings during school and on‑the‑job training. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old. • Achieve the required score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test. • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Adapt to flexible schedules, shifts, and work areas. • Preferably have prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or controls fields. • Meet physical requirements such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lb. • Use required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, face shield, and safety shoes.
