About the Role
The Apprentice (HVAC or Refrigeration) supports the installation team by completing tasks safely, promptly, and accurately while adhering to customer specifications, building codes, and proper piping practices. Responsibilities include installing HVAC and refrigeration equipment, using power and hand tools, maintaining clean job sites, and escalating safety or quality concerns to senior technicians or project managers. The role also involves assisting senior technicians, handling various piping types, and performing duties ethically and professionally. • Install HVAC components such as air handler drains, split‑system piping, overhead duct hangers, and ductwork. • Install refrigeration components including display case drains, walk‑in box drains, and overhead hangers. • Use power and hand tools, powered vehicles, machinery, and PPE in compliance with policy. • Escalate safety or quality issues to senior technicians or project managers promptly. • Maintain clean, professional job sites and manage waste materials appropriately. • Assist senior technicians and perform duties ethically and professionally. • Install various piping types including PVC, copper (brazing), and copper line sets.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program, with 2+ years of experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related trade preferred. Required skills include operating scissor lifts or forklifts, knowledge of job‑site safety, refrigeration valves, electrical basics, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Applicants should be punctual, dependable, capable of working independently in diverse conditions, possess strong mathematical and communication abilities, and hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. • 2+ years experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or related trade preferred. • Ability to operate scissor lifts or forklifts. • Knowledge of job‑site safety, refrigeration system valves, regulators, and electrical basics. • Proficiency with basic hand, power, and layout tools, as well as measurement instruments. • Strong mathematical, reading, writing, and communication skills. • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. • Ability to work independently, on ladders, outdoors in varied temperatures, and in noisy environments.
