About the Role

The Associate Director will lead and manage client engagements, overseeing stakeholders, commercial terms, risk and quality assurance. They will drive the development of State and Federal Government business cases and advise on commercial structures while coordinating specialist inputs such as cost, financial and economic advisors. The role involves delivering evidence‑based, strategic recommendations for complex property challenges and producing high‑quality reports, presentations and proposals. Additionally, the Associate Director will mentor and support junior team members. • Lead and manage client engagements, including stakeholder coordination, commercial terms, risk and quality assurance. • Develop State and Federal Government business cases and advise on commercial structures. • Coordinate specialist inputs such as cost, financial and economic advisors. • Deliver evidence‑based strategic recommendations and produce high‑quality reports, presentations and proposals. • Mentor and support junior team members.

What You Bring

Cushman & Wakefield’s Strategic Consulting team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Melbourne, Canberra or Sydney. Strategic Consulting delivers advanced advisory services across complex property and infrastructure projects, partnering with government and private‑sector clients. Our work spans business case development, strategic planning, investment advisory, portfolio optimization and advice on complex property transactions across sectors including government, social and private infrastructure. We are looking for candidates with at least seven years of experience, ideally in consulting or commercial/financial advisory. Experience leading business cases for State or Federal Government and a strong interest or background in property and infrastructure are essential. Candidates should have expertise in financial modelling and commercial structures, hold a relevant tertiary qualification, and be able to obtain AGSVA security clearance. • Possess 7+ years of consulting or commercial/financial advisory experience. • Demonstrated experience leading government business cases and strong interest in property/infrastructure. • Skilled in financial modelling, commercial structures, and hold a relevant tertiary qualification. • Ability to obtain AGSVA security clearance.
