About the Role
The role involves preparing detailed take‑offs, bills of quantities and cost estimates for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works, reviewing drawings and specifications, and analysing cost reports and cash‑flow forecasts. The incumbent will monitor budgets, process payment applications, and provide contractual and commercial advice while coordinating with internal teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues. • Prepare detailed take‑offs, BOQ, and cost estimates for MEP works. • Review project drawings, specifications, and scope to assess material and manpower requirements. • Analyze cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts, and value‑engineering proposals. • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and variations (VOs). • Process interim and final payment applications. • Provide contractual and commercial advice to the project team. • Coordinate with internal departments, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues. • Ensure compliance with project timelines, budget, and quality standards. • Maintain records and documentation for all cost‑related activities.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering and have 6 to 12 years of experience in the real‑estate or construction industry. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, especially long‑lead items, proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and preferably CostX, and a good understanding of contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC) are required, along with analytical, negotiation and communication skills. • Apply strong knowledge of MEP systems and long‑lead items. • Utilize AutoCAD, MS Excel, and preferably CostX for quantity surveying. • Understand contract conditions such as FIDIC. • Demonstrate analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. • Exhibit excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
