About the Role
The Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) department ensures the Group’s HS&E requirements are legally compliant and supports planning and performance assurance. In this role you will work with the HS&E Systems & Assurance team to maintain the HS&E Management System, manage digital platforms and data, update legal registers, support ISO audit requirements and keep the HS&E Galileo area current. • Maintain and develop the HS&E Management System (BMS), coordinating changes and supporting gap analysis. • Manage HS&E digital platforms and data, producing accurate reports, dashboards, and risk‑based trending. • Update the Group HS&E legal obligations register and ensure proper tracking and reporting. • Coordinate ISO certification audit requirements, including planning, evidence collection, and liaising with auditors. • Maintain and update the HS&E Galileo area to keep content current and aligned with business needs.

What You Bring
The Apprentice HS&E Systems Co‑ordinator role starts in Summer 2026 and is based in Bristol, Warwick or Solihull. Galliford Try’s construction and civil engineering apprenticeship programme is the UK’s top‑rated, recognised by TheJobCrowd and winner of the Environmental and Ethical Awareness category. The programme offers hands‑on experience, technical skill development and fully funded academic qualifications. Apprentices will complete a nationally recognised qualification appropriate to their education level, following an 18‑month Trainee Development Programme that includes modular training and a graduation event. Apprenticeships are available from Level 3 up to degree level and are fully funded by Galliford Try. We are looking for motivated individuals with a passion for construction, a flexible approach, good communication skills and a willingness to learn; no prior experience is required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and meet the entry requirements for the relevant apprenticeship. Flexible working arrangements, including full‑time, reduced hours or flex, are available.
