Driver Associate

About the Role

The role is responsible for specialized warehouse tasks, including loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, fabrication, counter work, and delivering products to customers when needed. The position requires operation of a company vehicle weighing between 10,001 and 26,001 GVW, and a satisfactory motor vehicle record will be verified before hire. Employees select correct processes based on prescribed rules, past practices, or instructions, and seek guidance from supervisors for non‑routine issues. Under close supervision, they exercise limited independent judgment and often have their output reviewed by senior coworkers or supervisors. • Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods, including carrying heavy merchandise (50‑300 lb) up/down stairs with body straps or dolly. • Check items against purchase orders and packing slips, reporting shortages, damages, and discrepancies. • File orders for delivery and place supplies and equipment in proper storage. • Operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks. • Drive company vehicles to pick up stock or deliver materials, and serve as emergency driver when needed (non‑CDL). • Perform required vehicle and supply inspections to ensure road safety. • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

What You Bring

The work environment is generally comfortable but includes exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The job involves intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy or awkward items, and may require up to 10 % overnight travel. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, with 0‑2 years of related experience.
