Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our engineering team in the UAE is expanding to meet a growing portfolio of multidisciplinary projects. We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and project execution for buildings, infrastructure, industrial facilities, and complex mechanical systems. The role provides technical leadership, ensures design excellence, mentors junior engineers, and supports strong client relationships. • Lead mechanical engineering design ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards. • Oversee development of HVAC, water supply, drainage, gas, steam, fire protection, and mechanical plant systems. • Solve complex engineering challenges using advanced modeling and innovative methods. • Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and tender documentation. • Manage mechanical design packages from concept through detailed design, construction, and commissioning. • Conduct site inspections, technical reviews, and performance assessments to verify design intent. • Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts with architecture, electrical, structural, and specialist teams. • Mentor and provide informal supervision to junior and intermediate engineers. • Ensure compliance with engineering codes, regulatory requirements, and internal quality assurance procedures. • Engage with clients to understand needs, present solutions, and foster long‑term relationships. • Identify process improvements and drive innovation within the engineering team. • Support project managers by monitoring progress, managing risks, and resolving technical issues.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has 8–10 years of experience in building services, industrial systems, or infrastructure. They must demonstrate strong expertise in HVAC, mechanical plant, piping, equipment selection, and system integration, as well as proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and a solid understanding of local and international codes. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Possess 8–10 years of experience in building services, industrial systems, or infrastructure. • Demonstrate expertise in HVAC system design, mechanical plant, piping, equipment selection, and integration. • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical calculation tools. • Strong knowledge of local and international mechanical codes and standards. • Experienced in leading design packages with minimal supervision. • Skilled in preparing specifications, feasibility studies, and technical reports. • Commercially aware of project financial and regulatory environments. • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities. • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) design. • Prior UAE project experience is advantageous.
