About the Role

Develop strong technical knowledge in power‑electronic‑based circuit‑breaker mechanical design, testing, and applications. Efficiently design, build, test, evaluate, and iterate prototyped mechanical systems and electro‑mechanical circuit‑protection devices in lab environments, while complying with site‑specific electrical test lab equipment, health, safety, and security procedures. Drive product design from concept to a Minimum Viable Product that can be lab‑validated and demonstrated to customers, utilizing statistical quality tools to establish performance baselines, identify robustness improvements, and measure results. Leverage component and system‑level modeling and simulation to inform design changes, and support team‑based product conceptual and detailed design, development, validation, and documentation. Follow Prelaunch and PROLaunch phase‑gate new‑product development processes, and collaborate with marketing and application teams to develop technical requirements. Work with the team to execute test programs and protocols, creating technical reports and presentations while generating value‑added intellectual property. • Design, build, test, and iterate mechanical and electro‑mechanical circuit‑breaker prototypes. • Conduct lab testing in accordance with safety, health, and security procedures. • Advance concepts to a Minimum Viable Product and validate them with customers. • Apply statistical quality tools to set performance baselines and improve robustness. • Perform component and system modeling/simulation to guide design updates. • Collaborate on product concept, detailed design, validation, and documentation. • Follow Prelaunch and PROLaunch phase‑gate processes for new‑product development. • Develop technical requirements with marketing and application teams. • Execute test programs and verify system, software, and hardware criteria. • Produce technical reports, presentations, and generate intellectual property.
