About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. Responsibilities include rent collection, delinquency management, budgeting, staff supervision, leasing, maintenance coordination, and compliance with safety and fair‑housing guidelines. The role acts as the on‑site leader in the manager’s absence, ensuring policy adherence and risk mitigation. • Post and reconcile payments, manage accounts receivable, and handle bad debt, evictions, and month‑end closing. • Oversee staff hiring, training, coaching, and compliance with company policies. • Implement leasing strategies, marketing plans, resident retention programs, and address resident complaints. • Coordinate maintenance requests, conduct property inspections, and negotiate with vendors to maintain appearance and operations.
