About the Role
In this role you will support directional drilling for underground conduit and fiber‑optic cable installation. You will locate and dig horizontal directional bores, operate the drill in partnership with the drill locator, and ensure the safety of the public and existing underground utilities. • Locate and dig horizontal directional bores for underground conduit and fiber optic cable. • Operate the horizontal directional drill in collaboration with the drill locator to install coax and fiber systems. • Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of existing facilities. • Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day. • Ensure safety of the public and other underground utility facilities.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has at least 1–2 years of specialized directional‑drilling experience in an urban setting, 2 years of utility directional‑drilling experience, and proficiency with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills. A valid Class A CDL, strong problem‑solving abilities, a focus on safety, and the ability to read maps and drawings are required. • Minimum 1–2 years of directional drilling experience in an urban environment. • Minimum 2 years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment. • Proficient with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes. • Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and project diagrams. • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. • Strong focus on safety and high‑quality workmanship. • Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and willingness to work long‑term projects.
