About the Role

The Sr. Office Accountant reports to the Senior Accounting Manager, Payroll Projects & Systems, and provides support for payroll‑related projects and initiatives. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of payroll systems and processes. Key responsibilities include handling payroll data requests for audits, developing and maintaining payroll procedures, responding to service desk tickets, and collaborating on system change documentation. The analyst conducts testing for payroll updates, prepares monthly cost reports and GL entries, supports HRIS implementations, performs regular payroll audits, resolves discrepancies, designs new reports, manages year‑end tasks, and contributes to continuous‑process improvement. • Support payroll data requests for internal and external audits. • Develop, document, and maintain payroll procedures and year‑end processes. • Provide first‑level response to payroll service‑desk tickets and handle escalations. • Collaborate on business requirements and documentation for payroll system changes. • Conduct testing for payroll system updates and related projects. • Prepare monthly cost reports and generate General Ledger entries. • Assist with new HRIS implementation and monitor data replication accuracy. • Perform regular payroll audits to validate data integrity. • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and system errors. • Design and generate new payroll reports as needed. • Manage year‑end payroll tasks, including income reporting and SAP variant maintenance. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives using continuous‑improvement methodologies. • Develop and deliver payroll department training sessions.

The position is a regular, full‑time, salaried exempt role requiring a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience. Travel is minimal, typically 0‑10%. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and possess at least three years of finance or payroll experience, with familiarity in finance applications, database queries, and payroll systems such. Advanced Excel skills are required, and experience with macros, VBA, or RPA is highly desired. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential. The position requires frequent sitting, computer use, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, with occasional short‑distance travel.
