About the Role
The position entails overseeing a portfolio of CMT projects, reviewing technical reports, preparing proposals, and contributing to departmental management and profit‑and‑loss responsibilities. The engineer will also provide technical expertise, mentor staff, and support staffing decisions in partnership with other managers and recruiters. • Oversee CMT projects, review technical reports, prepare proposals, and manage department P&L. • Provide technical mentorship, training, and development for CMT staff. • Mentor junior project managers and collaborate on staffing decisions with recruiters. • Lead client meetings and deliver technical resolutions to project issues. • Market services, establish new client relationships, and maintain existing ones.

What You Bring
ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Principal Engineer to join the Lawrenceville field services team. This role focuses on ensuring project quality and performance meet company standards while collaborating with clients and project teams from proposal through final review. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering or geoscience discipline, possess at least twelve years of experience with technical report preparation, and maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license. Additional requirements include senior reviewer designation, valid driver’s license, strong marketing abilities, and excellent communication and leadership skills. • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, Materials Science, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. • Minimum 12 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and approving technical reports. • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) licensure. • Senior reviewer designation at current or previous firm. • Valid driver's license and insurance for travel on behalf of ECS.
