About the Role

The associate will work closely with ERM’s technical experts, applying cutting‑edge investigation, remediation and sustainable technologies while gaining project and financial management experience through training. • Supervise contractors and conduct routine monitoring during site investigations. • Carry out field activities such as walk‑overs, soil logging, and soil & groundwater sampling. • Provide office support for data analysis, manipulation, presentation and reporting. • Produce environmental desk studies, site investigation and verification reports. • Assist in preparing fee proposals for future projects. • Apply creative problem‑solving and uncertainty simulation to limited data. • Organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors. • Maintain accurate, timely delivery of work.

What You Bring

Personal data will be handled confidentially and a full UK driving licence is required. • Demonstrate willingness to work outdoors and travel regularly to client sites. • Have prior experience supporting investigation, risk or environmental assessments with field supervision (preferred). • Experience on active industrial sites with strong safety cultures or remote locations (preferred). • Hold a degree in environmental sciences, hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry or chemistry, or equivalent work experience. • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. • Possess a full UK driving licence (essential).
