About the Role

The HazMat Industrial Services Operator Driver/Technician is responsible for the safe and compliant transportation of various waste streams from generator sites, including both hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. The role also involves performing operational functions for industrial waste clean‑up and responding to emergency spill situations in accordance with all applicable regulations. Key duties include operating a range of light and heavy equipment such as tankers, vacuum trucks, box trucks, tractor‑trailers, skid steers, forklifts, pumps and pallet‑jacks. The technician responds to customer spills and emergencies during normal business hours and after hours, conducts pre‑trip and post‑trip DOT inspections, maintains vehicle logs, and handles both LTL pickups and full truckloads. Additional responsibilities cover equipment housekeeping, documentation of manifests and work orders, processing of hazardous and non‑hazardous materials, and supporting lab‑pack and field‑service projects. • Operate light and heavy equipment including tankers, vacuum trucks, and forklifts • Respond to customer spills and emergencies during and after business hours • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip DOT inspections and maintain vehicle logs • Conduct LTL pickups and full truckload deliveries of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste • Maintain equipment, housekeeping, and documentation of manifests and work orders • Process hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and support lab‑pack, field‑service, and industrial projects • Provide customer satisfaction and perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a valid Class A commercial driver’s license and be able to complete a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training program upon hire. Preference is given to individuals with a HazMat endorsement and proven ability to operate heavy and light equipment, use hand and shop tools, and demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities. • Valid Class A commercial driver’s license • Complete 40‑hour HAZWOPER training upon hire • HazMat endorsement preferred • Proficient with hand and shop tools and equipment operation
