About the Role
As a Line Manager you will be responsible for the operation of your team, allocating resources, developing competence and driving people development. You will act as a sounding board for local management and ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy’s integrity, health and safety standards. Key duties include collaborating with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and customers; performing analysis and risk management; planning medium‑ to long‑term resource allocation based on tender and project forecasts; and meeting departmental KPIs such as on‑time delivery, cost of poor quality and productivity. You will review and approve techno‑economic offers, lead operational development, conduct routine reviews with project teams, recruit staff within the head‑count budget, and oversee personnel assessments, target setting and succession planning. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and customers. • Conduct analysis and risk management for projects and tenders. • Plan and allocate resources medium‑ to long‑term based on forecasted work. • Ensure departmental KPIs (on‑time delivery, COPQ, productivity) and financial budget targets. • Review and approve techno‑economic offers, assessing risk and opportunity. • Drive operational development and lead routine project reviews. • Recruit personnel within head‑count budget and manage performance assessments. • Identify development areas, set targets and implement succession planning. • Participate in unit strategic planning and develop local expansion strategies. • Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and has at least 10 years of experience designing auxiliary power for substations, power plants or oil & gas projects. Experience in leading project or tender teams, knowledge of Eplan or Elecdes, PLM tools, and strong MS Office skills are required, together with good communication abilities. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. • Minimum 10 years experience designing auxiliary power for substations, power plants or oil & gas. • Experience leading project/tender teams and managing engineering cost and schedules. • Proficient in Eplan or Elecdes, PLM tools, and MS Office (Word, Excel). • Strong communication skills.
